Pleasures of the Damned - 1979

Lost Cult Classic Film Found and Restored!
In July of 1979, Italian director, Antonello Giallo, completed work on his debut feature. Shortly after the film's premiere, he was brought up by the Italian government on 17 charges of indecency, and all copies of the film were presumed destroyed. The film was entitled Pleasures of the Damned, and would prove to be Giallo's first and only foray into filmmaking before his tragic and mysterious death in 1982.
Synopsis: When a group of Satan worshiping bikers seek out a book holding the secrets of eternal life, they accidentally resurrect an ancient evil in the woods, that manifests itself in the zombified forms of cult members that killed themselves in the same woods some 200 years ago. Private Investigator, Jack Steele, while on a mission to help rescue Evelyn Crane's brother Tommy from the hands of the bikers, gets entangled in the situation, and may be the only one that can lay the curse to rest for good.

Institutionalised for the first time at 16 after attacking his mother with a knife (an event he would later celebrate in song), Larry 'Wild Man' Fischer was released to wander the streets of LA, selling his songs (half barked, bizarre and funny observations, products of a dark and troubled mind) for 10¢ to passers by, before being discovered by Frank Zappa. His relationship with Zappa became a reflection of his relationship with the music business in general; after recording one album with him, he became suspicious of Zappa's motives and, prone to unpredictable outbursts, Fischer wasn't a welcome presence in the Zappa household for long. A paranoid-schizophrenic, in and out of treatment centres, and recording only occasionally, Fischer still managed to carve out a curious career that has lasted more than 30 years. He's been dubbed 'the Godfather of outsider music', appeared on national TV in the USA, was the subject of his own comic book, became a John Peel favourite and sang a duet with Rosemary Clooney. The Ubin Twins (director Josh Rubin and producer Jeremy Lubin) have pulled together archive footage, interviews with family members, collaborators, industry figures and doctors, as well as telling contributions from the Wild Man himself, to produce a moving portrait of a fascinating artist.

One year later, they recorded the garage/punk classic known as the Red Star Album. ALL KINDSA GIRLS traces the evolution of garage/punk rock from its inception with Barry & the Remains through present day interpretations, focusing on the career of singer/songwriter John Felice and his band the Real Kids. The film features interviews with Jonathan Richman, Andy Shernoff, John Flansburgh and Willie Alexander, as well as live performances by the Real Kids, Firestarter, and the Explosion. Often compared to Buddy Holly and Brian Wilson, Felice fights to keep a band together, produce new material, and negotiate a future. John's legacy is his persistence of vision and global influence.

The serialized sequel to the underground smash hit Punk Rock Holocaust. Set one year after the original Punk Rock Holocaust, the demonic Executioner's headless, undead corpse is back on the 2004 Vans Warped Tour and it's looking for its head! The killer's body is tearing the heads off of various band members and sticking them on the jagged spinal cord where his neck used to be, using them to look for his own head. The heads retain the personality of the band member but the body is pure evil and is still carrying out the killings. The heads aren’t on too good and keep falling off.
